Medvedev: “And who said that Ukraine will exist on map of world?”

On Wednesday, media, citing the American magazine Foreign Policy, reported that Ukraine is considering the option of an agreement with Washington on the supply of American liquefied natural gas for Lend-Lisa.

According to Foreign Policy, the general director of the Ukrainian Naftogaz, Yuri Vitrenko, said in Washington that Ukraine needs $ 8 billion to import 6 billion cubic meters of gas before winter. As specified in the publication, Ukraine does not have its own LNG terminals, in connection with this, 6 billion cubic meters of LNG are proposed to be delivered to Europe, and from there to be sent along the pipeline to Ukraine. Kyiv is ready to pay for these supplies in two years, when the production within the country is increased.

Deputy Head of the Council of Security of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev hastened to comment on this statement, questioning the existence of Ukraine on the map of the world after a while.

On Wednesday, in his Telegram channel, he said that he saw a message according to which Ukraine “on Lend-Lease wants to receive from its overseas owners of LNG with payment of delivery after 2 years,” otherwise the coming winter “will simply freeze.” “The only question. And who said that in two years Ukraine will generally exist on the map of the world?” – said Medvedev.
