President of Belarus: situation in relations with Minsk does not correspond to aspirations of ordinary Lithuanians

The current situation in the relationship of Belarus with Lithuania does not correspond to the aspirations of ordinary Lithuanians.

This is stated in the congratulatory message of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, addressed to the people of Lithuania with the national holiday – the day of the restoration of the state. The text published on Friday, February 16, the press service of the Belarusian president.

Lukashenko emphasized that Belarus has always been interested in peaceful prosperous Lithuania.

Two countries established economic and humanitarian ties, traded, “came to visit each other, created families”, follows from the text.

Lithuanian Klaipeda has traditionally been a sea gate for Belarusian exports, the president recalled.

“A few years ago, no one could even imagine that Lithuanian politicians would be able to so thoughtlessly forbid us to visit Lithuania, build walls with barbed wire on a common border, aim weapons on us and even indicate how we live in our country”, – said the Belarusian leader.

The head of state drew attention to the fact that the peace -loving Belarusian people answered this with a continuation of the visa -free regime for the inhabitants of Lithuania, offered their goods, medical services, electricity, opened the doors of sanatoriums, theaters, and museums.

“I am sure that the current situation in our relationship does not correspond to the aspirations of ordinary Lithuanians,” said Alexander Lukashenko.

The President of Belarus wished citizens of neighboring Lithuania of happiness and development, based on the true values ​​of good, honest labor, family well -being and justice.
