Russia resumed flights to Azerbaijan

Russia has canceled restrictions on flights to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Previously, the ban acted due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Flights will be carried out within the framework of intergrowth of air traffic between the Russian Federation and these countries. However, it is still necessary to observe the measures established by Rospotrebnadzor in order to combat COVID-19, RBC reports.

In the meantime, 20 thousand Russian tourists remain abroad, who have difficulty returning home. In particular, 19 thousand people are in Latin America. It happened due to the need to fly off the airspace of countries closed the sky for Russian aircraft.
