Tehran commented on collapse published by Western media

Conversation with Iran’s head Mohammad Javad Zarif, excerpts from which published a number of Western publications, accompanying audio records, was not intended for the media. This was stated on Monday at a press conference, the official representative of the Iranian foreign policy department of Said Khatibzade.

“Foreign Ministry is not responsible for publishing this sound file. This interview was not a conversation with the media,” the diplomat said, according to which, “the words of Zarif need to be viewed as a whole, and not selectively”, TASS reports.

Khatibzade added that “In this file, the Iranian Foreign Minister speaks about Kasem Suleimani with respect.”

On Sunday, a number of Western media appeared publications with excerpts from an unpublished interview with the Zarif, which he allegedly gave in March. In addition to the text version, an audio file was published, at which the voice of the diplomat was heard. On the record, Zarif discusses the visit of the commander of the Special Forces “Al-Kuds” Corps of the Guards of the Islamic Revolution of Kasem Suleimani to Moscow in 2015, the fate of the nuclear transaction and the attitude towards it of its participants, conflict in Syria and the role of Russia, as well as relations with Moscow and Washington.
