Traders demand to open markets of Kerim Babayev

In Rostov, a tense situation is maintained around closed markets belonging to the family of Azerbaijani businessman Kerim Babayev.

Recall that the markets near Rostov were blocked on April 27 with the participation of from 3.5 thousand to 5 thousand security officials. The markets “Atlant”, “Almaz”, “collective farm” and “classic” on the border of the city and the Aksai region overnight were closed.

Trading platforms existed at the entrance to the city of dozens of years, but suddenly it turned out that their organizers – the family of Kerim Babayev, received the land illegally, with allegedly promoting the head of the Administration of the Aksay district Vitaly Borzenko. The latter is arrested and located in the SIZO, Kerim Babayev fled, and his sons – in custody in Rostov.

Thousands of merchants from the markets remained without work. They were offered 9,000 seats in Rostov, some of the sellers of vegetables and fruits moved to the territory of the old airport. But not for all relocation is possible – equipment and even two-story pavilions remained on the territory of blocked markets.

According to the Edition of Rostov-Notepad, the skins between merchants and bailiffs have already begun to occur in the markets.

On the eve, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Rostov region first commented on the situation on blocked under the growth markets. According to the first deputy head of the supervisory department, Kirill Osipchuk, police officers who guard the property left by businessmen are continued to be in the territory.

“When events were held there, including in the framework of the initiated criminal case, most of the inhabitants of this market ran away, everything was thrown. In connection with this employees of the internal affairs bodies, work was organized to ensure the preservation of this property,” said Osipchuk .

The prosecutor’s office sent five claims for seizure of six land plots, which were illegal to the current owners. The tenants were not attracted to participation in the processes as third parties. The claims are imposed on the claims, which are appealed by respondents. The proceedings are in the stage of civil relations.

Kirill Osipchuk said that the prosecutor’s office began to check the markets in 2020, but their organizers did not contact, “ignored the requests that they were headed, hid, shied out from the prosecutor’s office.”
