The inhabitants of the village of Schirak region in the north-west of Armenia blocked the Human Road – Gyumri, demanding to solve the problem with irrigation, reports Sputnik Armenia.
“The inhabitants of several villages of the Chirak region blocked on Tuesday the section of the Yerevan – Gyumri village in the village of Beniamin. Participants of the action require an immediate solution to the problem of irrigation,” the report says.
Protesters say that heat and lack of precipitation cause significant damage to agriculture, which can affect quality and on crop volumes.
