Azerbaijan once again claims: Armenia statements are groundless

Taking into account that over the past months, more than 3,000 cars have traveled along the Lachinsky road, as well as other facts, there are no grounds for the assertions of the Armenian side that the Lachinsky road is allegedly closed by Azerbaijan, that the Blocade was used against the Armenian residents and There was a “tense humanitarian situation.” This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jahun Bayramov at a meeting with the head of the representative office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Azerbaijan Dragan Kozhich.

In addition, at the meeting it was noted that back in December 2022, the Azerbaijani side expressed readiness if necessary to assist local residents of Armenian origin directly or through the ICKK.

During the meeting, the issues of cooperation between the ICRC and Azerbaijan, the activities of the ICRC in the Azerbaijani city of Hankendi were also discussed.
