China will have a new route to Central Asia

At the SCO summit in September, China and Uzbekistan will sign an agreement on the construction of the railway, Russian media write.

The route of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan will connect Chinese railways with Uzbekistan, after which, as planned, it will be held in Afghanistan, Iran and Turkey.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov said that the first paths could be laid in the fall. The project will make the Central Asia an important transit and logistics route for China and the region itself.
