Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey intends to build a new aircraft carrier, in size twice exceeding the new TCG Anadolu landing ship.
This Erdogan announced at the opening ceremony of the sports complex in the Sakary.
The Turkish leader once again honored the memory of the deaths as a result of the February earthquakes with the epicenter in Kazhramanmarash. He emphasized that the Turkish authorities did not leave some Turkish citizens who suffered as a result of destructive natural disasters on February 6th.
“The Turkish people left behind many disasters, thanks to their unity and solidarity. In the same way we will overcome the consequences of the February earthquakes,” said Erdogan.
Erdogan recalled that on the 75th day after the earthquakes, the ceremony of the delivery of the first rural houses to citizens in the distress zones took place. According to him, 650 thousand units of housing for residents of earthquake zones will be built in total.
