Euro -deputy was not allowed into Israel: European Union requires an explanation

The deputy of the European Parliament from Spain Ana Miranda on Tuesday, February 21, was banned from entering Israel. She was stopped at passport control at Ben-Gurion Airport, they kept 6 hours until Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen ordered the deputy, the Israeli media reports.

Miranda sat on the first plane in Spain. It is noted that the Euro -deputy was refused the entrance on the grounds that in 2015 she participated in the “protest fleet”. Miranda was expelled from Israel and since then she is forbidden to enter the Jewish state.

In the European Parliament, they are disappointed with the defect of the deputy in Israel and assured that they would contact the Israeli authorities and demand clarification. Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares also announced his intention to demand explanations from Israel.
