Georgian parliament was held against direct air traffic between Russia and Georgia

The Georgian parliament in Tbilisi took the action against direct air traffic between Russia and Georgia. The audience require an immediate ban on direct flights from Russia.

Politicians, civil activists and ordinary citizens gathered before the legislative body.

Promotion participants believe that the restoration of direct air traffic between Russia and Georgia is subjected to a serious risk, and the country may be left without the status of an EU member. In addition, in their opinion, because of this fact, a whole country may fall under sanctions.

The rally participants chanted – “No Russian flights.”

In 2019, Russia canceled the air traffic by Georgia. The decision on the resumption of air traffic between Georgia and Russia was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin in May of this year.

Today, the first Russian aircraft landed at the Tbilisi airport.
