Georgian parliament will vote on issue of trust in government

On Thursday, February 8, at the plenary meeting of the Georgian parliament, a vote will be held on the issue of trust in the Cabinet of Ministers and the government program – “for the construction of the European state.” This was reported by Georgian media.

The legislative body will vote by Votum of trust in the Government of Georgia at a plenary meeting in the manner prescribed by the regulations for considering the bill in the first reading.

Thus, the candidate for the post of prime minister will first present a government program, after which the parliamentarians will ask appropriate questions.

To obtain the confidence of the parliament, the support of most- 76 deputies is necessary.

Earlier, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili resigned.
