Kanevsky: shelling of peaceful cities did not work with Azerbaijan, it will not work with Ukraine

The Ambassador of Ukraine to Baku Vladislav Kanevsky shared on his Facebook page by publication about Ganja’s missile shelling by Armenian troops during the Second Karabakh war in the fall of 2020.

“Together with the heads of diplomatic agents accredited in Azerbaijan, I participated in the ceremony of remembrance of the enemy shelling of Ganja, from October 4 to 17, 2020.

In my interview with the national and regional media, I emphasized the following:

The reasons for the shelling of Ganja and the peaceful cities of Ukraine are common: the enemy defeated on the battlefield resorts to terrorism against the civilian population – this did not work against Azerbaijan, it will not work with regard to Ukraine;

;

Russia – a terrorist state that purposefully fired at the peaceful cities of Ukraine, uses our food and energy products as weapons against the whole world;

Fake “referendums” organized by the Kremlin in the temporarily occupied territories of our country do not have any value and legal consequences;

Ukraine is grateful to the international community for unprecedented support for the resolution of the UN General Assembly “Territorial integrity of Ukraine: Protection of the principles of the UN Charter”.

We hope that in the future all states of the civilized world will show similar solidarity with Ukraine, which will become a worthy response to Russia’s aggressive policy;

Today there are no “neutral” countries – those who support the aggressor and those who condemn the crimes of Russia;

The Kremlin understands only the language of power and demonstrates contempt for everyone who calls for diplomacy;

Russia’s desire for negotiations is only a pretext for regrouping its armed forces in order to maintain the temporarily captured territories of Ukraine;

Ukraine continues to release the territory temporarily occupied by Russia;

Like Azerbaijan two years ago, Ukraine today restores sovereignty and territorial integrity with all available methods, including military and diplomatic, ”Kanevsky wrote.
