Macron and Raisi talked for two hours on phone

Iranian President Ibrahim Rasisi held a two -hour telephone conversation with France President Emmanuel Macron, Iranian media reports.

Leaders discussed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation, regional and international issues, including food and energy security.

Speaking about the noticeable expansion of Iran’s political and economic cooperation with various countries, the head of the Iranian state noted that US sanctions against Iran are harmful to the global economy, especially for Europe.

Emmanuel Macron, in turn, emphasized the role of Iran in regional political processes and said that the role of his country in the completion of negotiations on a nuclear transaction with Iran would continue.
