The Minister of National Defense Yashar Guler held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Alexei Reznikov.
According to the information of the Ministry of National Defense, Reznikov congratulated Guller on his appointment and wished him success in a new post.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the current situation with the shipment of grain from Ukrainian ports. Minister Guler noted the importance of uninterrupted work of grain initiative, which makes a great contribution to the solution of the global food crisis and benefits all humanity.
Guler said that Turkey would continue to contribute to solving pressing problems.
Minister Guler emphasized that Ankara, in the name of ensuring peace and resolving the humanitarian situation in the region, will promote structural initiatives, in particular, to continue to extend the agreement on the grain corridor, which expires on July 17.
