The United States imposed sanctions against the Russian oligarch Vladimir Potanin, Russian media reported.
In addition, sanctions are imposed against the Deputy Prime Ministers of Andrei Belousov and Dmitry Chernyshenko, head of government of the annexed territory of the Kherson region Andrei Alekseenko, 29 Russian governors.
The investment holding “Interros” controlled by Potanin, Rosbank, which Interros bought from Société générale SA, also came to the restrictions. The sanctions were also related to the company’s VTB. VTB itself has long been under sanctions. “Tinkoff” and “Norilsk Nickel”, which is owned by the Interros holding Potanin, did not fall under the sanctions of the United States.
