In Paris, the International Forum to attract foreign investment in the energy sector of Turkmenistan (TEIF 2024) began its work, Turkmen media reported.
The Forum, organized together with the State Administration of Turkmenistan and international partners, sets itself the tasks of attracting investment and improving the country’s energy industry.
In turn, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory letter to the forum participants, expressing gratitude to the government of the French Republic for the provision of optimal conditions for the event.
“We consistently and systematically build up the potential of the fuel and energy sector, investing significant funds in this sphere according to the goals of the state’s energy strategy, which allows us to significantly increase the return on exploration and increase the volume of oil and gas production and gas production. Berdimuhamedov noted that the international visiting forum will consider the problems of mastering hydrocarbon deposits, the prospects for the export of “blue fuel” in gas pipelines and priorities for investment in a geochemical sphere.
“Among the priority tasks-the development of the Galkynyş gas pantry and the laying of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-India gas pipeline, the successful solution of which will significantly diversify the fuel and energy security and maintain regional energy security. In this context, we pay special attention to the full format international standards of recent years in the field of digitalization of production, introduction of technologies and technical developments of a new generation, industrialization of economics and environmental protection, ”the president said.
The TEIF 2024 International Forum gathered on its site more than 300 participants from 31 countries of the world. It is noted that Teif 2024 will become an important event to discuss promising investment capabilities and establish partnerships between the business community of Turkmenistan and foreign investors.
