Prosecutor General of Ukraine does not agree with dismissal

Venediktova stated that she had not yet discussed the issue of her removal with any person and refrains from comments.

“I can’t imagine that such issues can be resolved by the backstage, without expression of mutual respect, not in a businesslike way, so to speak. At the same time, as the Ukrainian Truth told the sources in the office of the Prosecutor General, Venediktov does not agree with the decision of his removal and was at the workplace on Monday.

According to the interlocutors, at 10 a.m. Alexei Simonenko, who was entrusted with the performance of the duties of the Prosecutor General, wanted to hold a working meeting. Venediktova, who was in the office, expressed a desire to take part in it. Simonenko was against this, and the meeting did not take place.
