Representatives of Ministry of Health at WHO Project Meeting in Moscow

On November 18-19, the European Regional Office of WHO conducted a final meeting of the project in the capital of the Russian Federation to improve the national school systems in nine countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Armenia).

In an event organized at the Federal State Autonomous Institution “National Medical Research Center for Children’s Health” (FGAU “NMITs of Children’s Health”) of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, national delegations from nine countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, as well as representatives of ministries Health and Education of the Russian Federation, FGAU “NMITs of Children’s Health”, WHO European Regional Office, as well as School Health Education Secretariat (School Health Education, Network of Schools Promoting Health Strengthening).

At the final meeting of the WHO project Azerbaijan represented a consultant of the health care organization department of the Ministry of Health of Ainur Zeynalova, the National Coordinator of the Project Network of Schools Promoting Health Strengthening Sabina Babazade, Head of the Department of Public Health and Reforms (TsR) of the Ministry of Health of Inar Makayev and Methodist Methodist Zozr Sevinj Zeynalla.

The conference reviewed the results of a study on the study of national school systems in nine countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia participating in the project; Determining areas for improvement; fruitful exchange of experience; Studying the experience of using a survey to evaluate national school health systems and improving it for further use in the countries of the WHO European Region, etc.

At the final meeting, representatives of nine countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia shared the results of the study and achievements, and also discussed further steps to develop cooperation.

Note that in 2020, the WHO Regional Office and the Russian Federation began a joint study on the assessment of national school health systems in nine countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (in the framework of the Russia-WHO project to develop school medicine in Eastern Europe and Central Asia ). The purpose of the study is to support countries in assessing the existing national regulatory framework, as well as promoting the improvement of the quality of school medical services.
