Deputy head of Foreign Ministry of Turkey Akchapar noted “strong communication” in Turkish-American relations

Although there are disagreements between the two allies in NATO, Turkey and the USA, however, there are spheres of cooperation, as well as a continuously supported “strong communication”, which determines the nature of bilateral relations. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Burak Akchapar, who took part in the 39th American-Turkish conference held in Washington.

Akchapar noted that two NATO allies are always consulted and collaborate in possible areas, especially on structural and strategic issues, although there are disagreements on some issues.

According to him, “strong communication”, which determines the nature of the relationship between the two countries, has never lost its strength, which in turn is one of the most important factors that determine the course of relations between the allies.

The deputy minister has shallowed a positive atmosphere that reigned at a conference in Washington, as well as a good opportunity to exchange ideas in many areas within the framework of such events.

Akchapar indicated that thanks to such conferences, there is a space for mutual investment in the fields of cooperation, and mainly in the trade and economic field.

The deputy minister also noted a positive and constructive perspective in Turkish-American relations and the contribution of the 39th American-Turkish conference in this direction.

“We are the two strongest NATO armies,” Akchapar emphasized.

The parties always hold meetings in order to resolve the main issues relating to relations, and diplomatic efforts are also made to achieve a more positive point in interaction, he said.

Meanwhile, the American Deputy Minister for Political Affairs John Bass said that Turkish-American relations are on the verge of a new process and are moving in a positive direction.
