The expiration of the established period of disability does not mean its removal. Disability is appointed indefinitely, that is, for life, only with irreversible cases, amputations, severe incurable diseases, and so on, reports Haqqin.az with reference to the State Agency of Azerbaijan on Medical and Social Examination and Rehabilitation under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
In other cases, the term of disability is prescribed, which is indicated in the relevant documents of persons with disabilities. Sometimes, when social payments (pensions, benefits) are terminated, these persons believe that the disability from them is removed, whereas this means the expiration of its term, the State Agency said.
Citizens who have expired disability, should contact medical institutions and survey. After that, the medical insurance introduces a direction to extend the time of disability into the electronic system of state agency for medical and social expertise and rehabilitation.
