Azerbaijan explained his programs of social support

As part of the Program of Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC), the chairman of which in 2021 is Azerbaijan, a high-level dialogue on the topic “Social spending to solve the problem of growing inequality in the CAVID-19 Pandemic” was held in the video conference format. / P>

According to information, participants in the international event were informed about social support programs sold in Azerbaijan.

It is reported that the program with the participation of 11 countries (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Afghanistan, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan) is aimed at improving economic growth and living standards in program member countries by support regional cooperation.

Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the population Anar Kerimov noted that the virtual dialogue provided a valuable opportunity for an active exchange of experience in mitigation measures of COVID-19 and strategies to overcome a pandemic. The Deputy Minister noted that Azerbaijan, which attaches great importance to cooperation within the CAREC, presidents in this platform for the third time, and expressed confidence that CAREC will continue to contribute to the sustainable economic development of the region.

Kerimov also spoke about flexible and large-scale social support programs implemented in the country from the first day of the pandemic on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev. He noted the achievements in increasing social benefits and wages in Azerbaijan, as well as important steps taken to improve the regulatory framework and adopting new laws, strategies, widespread use of electronic services in the social sphere, ensuring the adequacy and transparency of social payments, improving the quality of the quality provided social services, achieving citizens’ satisfaction.

Kerimov informed about the DOST centers created for the operational and transparent provision of citizens by the services through the system of the “single window”, the automated manual for the purpose of pensions, a centralized information system, consisting of the 18 subsystems of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, “Electronic Social” Internet Portal, “Employment” subsystem.
