Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jaykhun Bayramov commented on Ruben Vardanyan, who declared himself a “state minister” in Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeepers were temporarily deployed.
The head of the department told reporters that Azerbaijan had previously announced contacts with the Karabakh Armenians.
“We have repeatedly stated that we would not talk to the people who arrived or sent by persons, but with the Armenians of Karabakh. As we see, the legal requirements of Azerbaijan led to the result,” he added.
Note that on February 23, Ruben Vardanyan was released from his fictitious position. In his place was “appointed” the general prosecutor of the separatists Gurgen Nersisyan. Experts believe that this is the result of the fundamental position of Azerbaijan against Vardanyan.
