Baku: Yerevan’s goal is to attract third parties to region

The goal of Armenia is to attract third parties to the region, expand the geography of tension and disrupt the peace process. This is stated in the statement of the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry about the last situation in the region.

The department reminded that the Azerbaijani side put forward a number of proposals, including the use of the road of Agdam-Khandi and other alternative roads to meet the needs of Armenian residents of Karabakh.

“But the Armenian side opposed these proposals, which were supported by the European Union and the ICRC, blocked access to the territory by installing concrete barriers on alternative roads,” the department noted.

The Foreign Ministry said that this once again indicates that the statements of Armenia about the humanitarian situation are political blackmail and manipulations.

“The goal of Armenia is to attract third parties to the region, expand the geography of tension and disrupt the peace process,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
