Canada named most attractive country to work

Canada in 2020 bypassed the United States and topped the rating of the most attractive countries for labor migrants, RIA Novosti reports citing a study by BCG and The Network “Analysis of the global talent market – physical and virtual”.

According to the study, among 209 thousand participants from 190 countries, about 50% of respondents are ready to change their country for the sake of work. This number has decreased compared to 2014 and 2018, when it was 64% and 57%, respectively.

Canada has become the most attractive country for moving to work, having forced the United States out of the place of the leader. According to the authors of the study, the opinion of the survey participants was significantly influenced by the coronavirus pandemic: the interest in moving for the sake of work has generally decreased, but the attractiveness of the countries that were able to withstand the virus better than others has increased.

Australia, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Switzerland, Singapore, France, New Zealand are included in the top ten most attractive countries for respondents.
