Chief expert in Russia was fired in China: I could not find out about war in Ukraine

China’s authorities fired the deputy minister of foreign affairs and the chief expert of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Le Yuchen because he could not find out in advance about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It is reported by Financial Times.

The dismissal occurred in June. Chinese officials believed that Le Yuchen will become the next Prime Minister, but now he holds the post of deputy head of the National Administration of Radio and Television.

“LE was reduced to two levels. He was found guilty of the failure of intelligence data on the invasion of Russia,” said FT source
