Today at 14:00 Baku time in Frankfurt, the draw will begin the selection tournament of the European Football Championship-2024.
The Azerbaijani team, taking 2nd place in its group in the League “C” of the League of Nations, ended up in the 4th basket. The company will compile to us there Georgia, Greece, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Faroe Islands and North Macedonia. These teams will not get into one group with Azerbaijan.

The basket of the winners of the groups in the League “A” League of Nations: the Netherlands, Croatia, Spain, Italy.
Basket 1: Denmark, Portugal, Belgium, Hungary, Switzerland, Poland.
Basket 2: France, Austria, Czech Republic, England, Wales, Israel, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Scotland, Finland.
Basket 3: Ukraine, Iceland, Norway, Slovenia, Ireland, Albania, Montenegro, Romania, Sweden, Armenia.
Basket 5: Slovakia, Northern Ireland, Cyprus, Belarus, Lithuania, Gibraltar, Estonia, Latvia, Moldova, Malta.
Basket 6: Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein.
The national teams of Germany and Russia do not participate in the selection. The Germans are the masters of the upcoming euro, and the Russian teams and clubs UEFA excluded from all tournaments due to military invasion of Ukraine.
53 teams will be divided into 10 groups (7 groups of five teams and 3 groups each). Qualification will be held from March to November 2023. The winners of the groups in the League “A” of the League of Nations will fall into the qualifying groups consisting of five teams, since in June next year they are waiting for the matches of the “final of four” League of nations.
Ten winners of groups and ten second places will enter the final tournament. The remaining three vouchers will be played in the playoffs of the League of Nations in March 2024.
