Ukraine and Russia are negotiating the exchange of prisoners according to the “All for All” formula, said Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense.
According to Budanov, the negotiation process on the exchange of prisoners of war is quite exhausting. In particular, the last exchange, when 215 military returned to Ukraine, was preparing for more than two months.
Ukrainian media notes that the head of military intelligence did not specify how many Ukrainian prisoners are now negotiating. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories of Irina Vereshchuk, there are now about 2.5 thousand Ukrainians in captivity. Russia calls a large figure – more than 6 thousand people.
