Kazakhstan: detained company’s heads of controlled nephew Nazarbayev

Kazakhstani law enforcement agencies detained the leaders of two companies controlled by Kairata Satybaldyululy – the nephew of the first president of the Republic of Nursultan Nazarbayev.

As the press service of the Agency for the Countering Corruption of Kazakhstan, the investigation revealed additional facts of the predation from the company’s controlled Satybaldiuli – the owners of the driveway railway tracks (last kilometer). “These individuals, with the assistance of government officials of state bodies, have extracted a multi-billion dollar profit by unfolding the tariff for the services of access roads to the city-forming enterprises of the country, which led to higher prices for life support services for citizens,” the report says.

It is noted that “the leaders of two controlled Kairata Satybaldiul companies are detained and with the sanctions of the court they are detained.” Names and posts of detainees are not called.
