Prosecutor General’s Office of Russian Federation sent case on calls of META press secretary for terrorism

The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office sent the Court of the Communications Director of META, Andy Stone, on charges “in public calls for terrorism.”

The press service of the department reported this on Thursday.

In this case, Stone is accused of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Public calls for terrorist activity, public justification of terrorism or propaganda of terrorism”).

according to investigators, Stone in March 2022, being outside the Russian Federation, published a message in his social networks, which justified aggressive and violent actions against Russian military personnel who participating in a special operation in Ukraine.

The publication available to an unlimited number of users contained calls for terrorist activities in relation to the military.

In February 2024, the Moscow Basmanny Court decided to arrest the organization’s press secretary in absentia, choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention.
