State Duma deputy Alexei Chernyak said that the Zmeini island operation in the Black Sea was carried out in order to preserve the life of Russian military personnel after the West transferred receiver and reactive artillery to Ukraine.
He also added that now no one in the world will be able to blame Russia of blocking the exit of courts from Ukrainian ports to create food problems.
Earlier, the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, stated that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation “left the island of Zmeini as a step of goodwill.
