Street negotiations between Aliyev and Pashinyan: Armenia wants to disrupt Brussels process

As Haqqin.az already reported, negotiations between the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan ended in Brussels.

According to haqqin.az, negotiations were held in a tense environment. In the negotiations, in addition to Ilham Aliyev and Nikola Pashinyan, Jayhun Bayramov and Hikmet Gadzhiev took part on the Azerbaijani side, Armen Grigoryan and Ararat Mirzoyan on the Armenian side.

The Armenian side, contrary to the previous agreements, tried to prevent the creation of a joint functioning of the working groups of Azerbaijan and Armenia to develop a peace agreement between the two countries. However, as a result of intense negotiations, Ilham Aliyev managed to obtain the consent of the Armenian side to the meeting and joint activities of the working group of Azerbaijan and Armenia. The first meeting of the working group is coming down in the near future.

Note that Azerbaijan has already created its working group. However, in Yerevan, the corresponding group of the Armed Forces has not yet been created. Azerbaijan succeeded, as during the development of a communique, according to the results of the last meeting in Brussels, to exclude the issue of Karabakh from the text. Since the Karabakh question is an internal affair of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani Tleegation refused to discuss the issue of determining the status of the Karabha Armenians who are citizens of Azerbaijan.

The Armenian side, as during the alignment in Brussels, has opposed the implementation of transport and prunitive KolmMmunis provided for by the Moscow Agreement.

In general, the Armenian delegation has made every effort to undermine the Brussels process. Azerujan insisted on the feasibility of the preservation and development of the Brussels Transport Process.

In addition, as Haqqin.az managed to find out, the day before the Pegovors between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the EU leadership conducted a hot negotiations with Azerbaijani and Armenian delegations.
