Turkey investigates Google’s actions in advertising market

The Turkish competition (Rekabet Kurulu) opened a case against the American company Google, its maternal and subsidiaries in connection with a violation of antimonopoly legislation regarding the provision of advertising services on the Internet. This is stated in the Antimonopoly Regulator, which is widespread on Monday.

The investigation, as follows from the department’s message, is conducted against Alphabet Inc., Google LLC, Google International LLC, Google Ireland Limited and the Turkish branch of the company.

The Council in particular revealed violations of the law on the protection of competition, and also suspect Google of abuse in the field of Internet advertising and providing advertising technologies.

Note that the decision on the start of the investigation adopted by the Council does not mean that this structure has violated the legislation of Turkey, but that it is threatened with punishment.
