Turkish wrestlers won two “gold” at European Championship

Turkish fighters of the Greco-Roman style of Selchuk Dzhan and Alperen Berber won gold medals at the European Championship in the fight in the capital of Romania, Bucharest.

In the final battle in the weight category up to 82 kg, the 19-year-old Berber defeated the Russian athlete Islam Aliyev with a score of 4: 3.

28-year-old Selchuk Jan defeated the representative of Azerbaijan Ulvi Ganizade with a score of 2: 0 in the weight category up to 72 kg.

members of the Turkish national team of Ryza Kayaalp, Ali Changiz and Yunus Emre Bashar were awarded silver medals in weight categories 130 kg, 87 kg and 77 kg, respectively.

Murat Fyrat won a bronze award in the weight category 67 kg.

European Wrestling Championship 2024 is held in the Romanian capital from February 12 to 18.
