US invited Taiwan for summit, China responded

The Government of China accused President of the US President Joe Bayden in the “mistake” after he invited Taiwan to take part in the “Summit for Democracy”. This is reported by Chinese media.

Taiwan was included in the State Department published by the Summit Participants, which will be held in December.

Taiwan’s press secretary for Taiwan, Zhu Fenlan stated that the inclusion of the island is a mistake, and Beijing opposes “any official relations between the United States and the Chinese region of Taiwan.”

“Our position is clear. We call on the United States to adhere to the principle of” one of China “and the three joint communiqué,” said Fenlan.

Note that Washington did not invite official Beijing to participate in the summit, which will be held December 9-10.
