Leaders of Russian Federation and Kyrgyzstan evaluated bilateral interaction

Russia is one of the leading trade and economic partners of Kyrgyzstan. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at negotiations with the leader of Kyrgyzstan Sadir Zhaparov.

Putin noted that Russia is also the largest investor in the economy of Kyrgyzstan. “About 36 percent of all foreign directs accumulated in Kyrgyzstan are Russian investment. 800 enterprises with Russian participation are functioning in the republic,” said the president.

“Interregional ties are dynamically developing. More than 80 constituent entities of the Russian Federation are actively interacting with all seven regions of the republic,” he added.

In addition, Putin said that Russia is taking a “relay wand” from Kyrgyzstan. “It will preside in the CIS in 2024,” he said.

In turn, the President of Kyrgyzstan said that Bishkek has highly appreciated the Kyrgyz-Russian strategic partnership and allied relations.

“to strengthen the relations of allies and strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Russia there are a strong basis and broad prospects,” he said.

The ceremony of the official meeting of the head of the Russian state with the leader of Kyrgyzstan took place in the state residence of “Ala-archa” in Bishkek.

The President of the Russian Federation in negotiations with a colleague from Kyrgyzstan personally handed him the Order of Honor.

According to a previously published decree, the Order was awarded for a significant contribution to strengthening the relations of strategic partnership and allies between countries, the development of integration processes in the Eurasian space.

In the morning, October 12, Putin flew with a two -day visit to Kyrgyzstan. In Bishkek, negotiations of leaders and the ceremony of signing bilateral documents will be held. In addition, the presidents will take part in a celebration dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Russian military air base in Kant.

On Friday, October 13, Putin and Zhaparov, together with other leaders of the CIS countries, will take part in a meeting of the Council of Heads of the State of the Association.
