A joint meeting of the Board with the participation of representatives of the Association for Managing Medical Territorial Units (Təbi̇b) was held at the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Health said.
The event was discussed by the state of obstetric care in Azerbaijan for 11 months of this year. It was attended by representatives of state and private medical institutions.
The event was modified by the Deputy Minister of Health Ilgar Gasimov. Representatives were made by the representative of the Ministry of Nigar Akhundov, the deputy director of Təbi̇b Anar Israfilov and other specialists.
The speakers noted that the result of the adoption of the relevant state programs managed to reduce mortality, continue the reforms of perinatal assistance, improve the youth services in the field of reproductive health and family planning. At the same time, there are a number of disadvantages in this area.
Participants emphasized the importance of conducting the necessary technical measures to eliminate the identified shortcomings.
