Russian President Vladimir Putin will not be able to take part in the official farewell to former President of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev, which will be held on September 3. This was announced by the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov during a briefing.

“He is busy with him all day. Internal meetings, meetings, an international telephone conversation, preparation for the Far Eastern forum – still he will perform there. On September 1, Putin was already saying goodbye to Gorbachev in the Central Clinical Hospital (Central Design Bureau), laying flowers to his coffin. After that, the head of state went to the Kaliningrad region with a working trip.
