Russia: Crimean Tatars were sentenced to a long time for imprisonment

The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced the three Crimean Tatars Ismet Ibragimov, Oleg Fedorov and Ernest Ibragimov to the long terms of imprisonment in the Hizb Ut-Tahrir case. It is reported by “Crimean solidarity”.

The expert on the Arabic language Ismet Ibragimov, the court appointed 19 years in prison. He will spend the first five years in prison, the remaining term – in a penal colony. At the end of serving the sentence for two years, restrictions will be in effect for Ibrahimov Ismet: do not go beyond the municipality, not to change their place of residence, stay and work, and marks the supervisory authorities twice a month.

The cook from the cafe “Salachik” Ernest Ibragimov and entrepreneur Oleg Fedorov appointed the court 13 years in prison in a maximum security colony, of which 3.5 years in prison. After serving the sentence 1 year, restrictions will apply.

Crimean Muslims are accused of the activities of the Islamic political party “Hizb Ut-Tahrir”, which has been banned in Russia since 2003. On the territory of Ukraine and most countries of the world, the organization acts without restrictions at the level of national legislation.

according to the conclusion of the investigation, the Crimean Tatars conducted Islamic propaganda among the civilians, spread anti -Russian sentiments, “gave up supporters and formed tendential thinking among the population of Crimea.”

At the same time, it is clear from the materials of the case that the accused did not have weapons, explosives, ammunition and did not plan to perform terrorist acts.
