Armenia: ex-Word of defense was pardoned

In Armenia, a verdict was sentenced to the case of the North-Marash criminal group, which included the former deputy Minister of Defense of the country Vaan Shirkhanyan, the Armenian media write.

The leader of the group Arthur Vardanyan was sentenced to 13 years in prison, taking into account the time spent on bars, he will have to spend another 9 years in prison.

Shirkhanyan was sentenced to 6 years, but pardoned and released from punishment. The remaining members of the group received terms from 6 to 9 years.

Note that on November 25, 2015, as a result of operational-investigation measures of the SNB of Armenia, a group was neutralized, which planned a number of serious crimes in the republic (against citizens, individual branches of government and state bodies).
