Azerbaijani athlete won medal and set a record at tournament in Czech Republic

At the International Swimming Tournament in Czech Ostrava, the Azerbaijani athlete Maryam Sheikhalyazadekhang took 3rd place.

In a 50 -meter swim, she made its way to the final, and there she showed the result of 26.83 seconds, becoming a bronze medalist. In total, 96 participants performed here.

According to the head coach of the national team of Azerbaijan Rashad Abdurrahmanov, the result of Maryam is her personal record and the country’s record. She was not enough for a license for the world championship in Budapest. The head coach believes that our athlete will get a ticket to the World Cup in the nearest competitions.

Sheikhalyazadekhangs also reached the final at a distance of 50 meters butterfly. In addition to the Maryam, Ramil Velizade (200 meters of butterflyai) made its way to the main final.
