The work on the implementation of the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan “On a number of measures to increase the level of self -sufficiency of food wheat” dated July 19, 2022, adopted to ensure food security in the country, including increasing the level of self -sufficiency with main food products.
According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, in order to ensure the execution of paragraph 2.3 of the Decree on the basis of the proposal of the agency of state reserves, agreed with the relevant state structures, in connection with the increase in the level of self-sufficiency of food wheat, stimulating the activities of local food wheat producers and the provision of state support, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted the corresponding resolution.
This resolution, taking into account the production costs (costs of food wheat and possible profit of the manufacturer in accordance with the quality indicators specified in Appendix No. 1 to the Rules for the Storage and Use of the State Grain Fund, approved by the Resolution of Cabinet No. 105 of July 7, 2009 , the state purchase price per ton of local food wheat for 2022 is set at 580 (five hundred and eighty) manat.
