as part of the 110th session of the International Labor Conference under the chairmanship of Azerbaijan, a meeting of the ministers of the labor countries of the non-alignment movement was held in the video conference format.
The press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population reported that at the meeting, chaired by Minister Sakhil Babaev, the problems facing the non-alignment in the context of Covid-19, the labor market and labor rights, the social protection of workers and vulnerable groups were considered.
Babaev noted that the establishment of social justice on the basis of the concept of worthy work of the International Labor Organization (ILO) is one of the most important areas of non -compiration, which has been operating for 60 years. The Minister noted the actions of Azerbaijan as the chairman of the movement of non -alignment to mobilize efforts against the pandemic. He said that the resolution on ensuring equal and universal access to vaccines for all countries, initiated by Azerbaijan, was adopted by the UN Human Rights in March last year.
The Minister noted that Azerbaijan provides humanitarian and financial assistance to more than 30 countries to combat pandemia, transferred a voluntary financial fee of $ 10 million, provides vaccines for a number of countries, etc.
noting the achievements of Azerbaijan, Sakhil Babaev said that over the past three years, three packages of social reforms covering 4 million people have been implemented in the country, an additional 6 billion manat (about $ 3.5 billion) has been allocated annually. During this period, social benefits increased 2.7 times, the minimum pension – 2.2 times, the average pension – by 75 percent, the minimum wage 2.3 times, the wage fund – 2.2 times.
The Minister emphasized the importance of the new electronic system “Labor and employment”, a high level of citizens’ satisfaction with Dosta centers, where 154 types of social services are transparent and promptly with a single platform. According to him, 110 labor, employment and social protection services were fully automated, half of which are proactive services.
Babaev noted that the Azerbaijani territories were freed from the 30-year occupation of Armenia in 2020. Restoring work in Azerbajan is carried out on the basis of “smart” concepts.
Then the agenda of the meeting was adopted. The general director of the ILO Gai Ryder, representatives of the member states, performed general discussions. According to the results of the meeting, a declaration of ministers of the labor movement of non -alignment was adopted.
