Criminal cases against heads of municipalities have been instituted

During the 2022, measures were taken to strengthen administrative control over the effective use of local budget funds, ensuring legality and transparency in the field of municipal property management (including lands), and the prevention of cases contributing to corruption and other offenses.

This is stated in the report on administrative control over the activities of municipalities in 2022, which was discussed at today’s meeting of the parliamentary committee on regional issues.

It was noted that during the measures taken 27 facts of serious violations were identified, the collected documents were sent to the relevant investigative authorities for giving legal assessment, 12 of them were instituted criminal cases.
