Decree of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the leader of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Ukraine, Oleg Kapivin was awarded the Order of Friendship for merits in the formation and development of the diaspora. Recall that Oleg Andreevich Krapivin is a famous sports figure and businessman, a 14-fold champion of Azerbaijan on freestyle wrestling, as well as world champion among veterans.
O. Krapivin founded Ukrainian-Azerbaijani educational, scientific and cultural, Sports Center named after Geidar Aliyev, was elected chairman of the Kiev city organization of the Congress of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine. At the initiative of O. Krapivina in some Ukrainian schools, the classes of Azerbaijani language are open.
