President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on approval of the plan for preserving the general type of monumental sculptural monuments, memorial and architectural complexes in the territory of Azerbaijan and the improvement of the territories adjacent to them.
On December 3, the first meeting of the Expert Commission was held in the Azerbaijan National Museum of Art.
Speaking at the meeting, the Minister of Culture Anar Karimov said that every work of monumental art forms an opinion about our country not only among our citizens, but also from foreign guests and tourists visiting our country. Therefore, it is necessary to bring to the attention of the artistic and scientific significance of each of the monuments in our country, its concept, relevance and importance for the following generations.
The meeting continued the exchange of views between members of the Commission on the work schedule, subsequent meetings and other matters.
