The draft law on piloting Islamic banking in a number of regions of Russia was submitted to the State Duma, the head of the Duma Committee on the Financial Market Anatoly Aksakov said during the International Banking Forum of Russia – XXI Century.
The document was submitted to the lower house of the parliament by a group of deputies, including Aksakov.
Dagestan, Chechnya, as well as Bashkiria and Tatarstan will participate in the pilot project for the implementation of Islamic banking, said the head of the State Duma committee.
