Joint project with Sunday School of Switzerland: Karabakh

The Azerbaijani Diaspora support fund has begun to implement a new project called “Subtime School” Karabakh. The implementation of the project, which, as provided, will be long-term, scheduled for July 18-24.

as part of the Karabakh school project, students of Sunday school functioning in Switzerland, children from the families of former forced immigrants and shechids will spend their leisure time in the Republican Children’s Recreation and Health Center “Jityrtdan”, located in the village of Shuveln Khazarsky BAKU district. Planning schoolchildren are planned in cultural and educational panels, trips to the picturesque corners of Azerbaijan, visiting museums.

10 students and 2 instructors from Switzerland, 14 students and 2 instructors from Azerbaijani schools take part in the project. Here, along with constant communication and network interaction, they will study the Azerbaijani language. And at the next stage of the project, a trip to students of Azerbaijan will be organized to Switzerland.

One of the partners of the project is the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in his speech at the V Congress of Azerbaijani in the world noted the activation of work in the field of opening Sunday schools, the constant promotion of his native language, uniting the Azerbaijanis of the world, as a priority direction of Diaspass policy. The opening of schools “Karabakh” abroad began on the initiative and instructions of the first vice president of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva. Sunday schools operate in the cities of Nant (France), Bern (Switzerland), Warsaw (Poland), Stockholm (Sweden). The purpose of these schools is not only in teaching Azerbaijani children to their native language, literature, history and culture, but also to bring the realities associated with our country.
