Musaev: In Azerbaijan there is no acute lack of drugs

Currently, in Azerbaijan there is no acute shortage of any drugs.

This was announced to reporters by Minister of Health Teymur Musaev.

According to him, due to unstable energy prices as a result of conflicts and wars in the world, as well as due to the rupture of traditional logistics chains, the cost of raw materials used to produce drugs and transportation costs increased. This, in turn, led to rising prices for certain drugs.

“The situation in our country has always been and is now under control. The necessary deliveries have been made and reserves are provided,” the minister said.

Musaev recalled that the prices for drugs are set in Azerbaijan with tariff (price) advice.

“taking into account the current situation, the prices for strategically important drugs are under control and are regulated,” the head of the department emphasized.
