Parliament building was attacked in Suriname

Several dozen participants in anti -government protests broke into the building of the National Assembly (Parliament) of Surinam.

According to him, on the streets of Paramaribo, several hundred people arranged riots and clashes with the police. It is reported that material damage to the building of the parliament and the plunder of stores.

Unrest began during the march against government measures to reduce budget expenditures, including the elimination of subsidies. To accelerate protesters, the police used tear gas.

The Surinama government condemned the riots and promised to bring to justice involved in the attack on the parliament building.
